New Low-Price FBA rates will be replacing FBA Small and Light programme on Amazon

I wanted to give you all a heads up about some changes that are coming to Amazon’s Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) Small and Light (SnL) program. I know how important it is to stay in the loop, so let’s dive into what’s happening.

For a number of years, the Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) Small and Light (SnL) programme offered an option for sellers to enrol low-price, small, and light products into this programme to receive lower FBA rates versus standard FBA fulfilment fees, as the programme provided slower shipping speed than standard FBA.

These lower fees have helped enable sellers to offer a greater low-price selection to customers. Amazon has decided to end the EU FBA SnL programme and instead launch a Low-Price FBA fee rate card.

Starting September 26, 2023, Amazon will introduce Low-Price FBA rates for all items priced under £10 in the UK, €11 in Germany, €12 in France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands, SEK 140 in Sweden, PLN 55 in Poland or less (including VAT) which means the price threshold remains the same as for SnL. The new rates are aimed to make it simpler for every seller to take advantage of lower FBA fees on their low-priced selection, while providing the same FBA delivery speeds. All eligible items will automatically receive the low-price rates.

With this change, Amazon will close the Small and Light (SnL) programme effective September 26, 2023 when the new low-price FBA rates go into effect. Until then, SnL enrolled items will continue to have SnL rates applied. Enrolment of new products into the program will end after September 14, 2023.

The new Low-Price FBA rates will reduce costs versus standard FBA rates. Please refer to Low-Price rate card to see the discount that will apply to each size band applicable to you. If your products were enrolled in SnL and qualify for Low-Priced FBA rates, your fee is expected to see an increase but they will from now on enjoy the fast FBA fulfillment speed.

In order to prepare for this change, it is recommended that you review your product offerings, check your inventory status, and review the FBA and Low-Price FBA rate cards to assess any changes.
