One or More of Your Amazon Listings Have Been Search Suppressed
If you are getting lots of “One or More of Your Amazon Listings Have Been Search Suppressed” e-mails from Amazon every day, this article will address what do these notification mean and how to resolve any related issues.
Search Suppressed Amazon listings are ASINs, which were detected by Amazon’s automated bots as being non-compliant with their policies, causing them to become hidden from search results. They are also referred to as Quarantined Listings.
If no corrective action is taken, the affected listings will not be available in search results on the Amazon website. However, they can be still purchased by buyers, as long as they have a direct hyperlink or exactly know what they wish to purchase.
It could be due to the images not meeting Amazon’s standards for not having a pure white background, being low resolution, pixelated, including additional accessories, logos, text or graphics.
There could be some third party trademarked brand names or terms included in the titles, bullet points or description.
Also, Amazon recently started enforcing their Product Title Requirements, which means that any non-media ASIN may be search-suppressed if it violates any of the following criteria:
1. The title exceeds 200 characters, including spaces.
2. The title contains promotional phrases, such as “free shipping”, “100% quality guaranteed”.
3. The title contains characters for decoration, such as ~ ! * $ ? _ ~ { } # < > | * ; ^ ¬ ¦
4. The title contains no product-identifying information, such as “hiking boots” or “umbrella”.
Here you can read a copy of Amazon’s automated e-mail notification wording regarding the matter:
