Recently, Amazon e-mailed their third party sellers with an announcement containing a summary of latest updates to the Automated Pricing Feature.
According to the e-mail, “effective since October 20, 2020, Automate Pricing also compares your offer price with Amazon’s high price limits, to protect you against setting prices significantly higher than recent prices offered on or off Amazon.”
This means that you either agree to offer the lowest price for a specific product from within the entire internet, or your listing will be deactivated.
The strict Marketplace Fair Pricing Policy effectively prevents sellers from being able to price their products reasonably and forces them to lose money.
