What are Keywords on Amazon?

Keywords are the words and phrases that describe your product. Depending on the keyword match type used, one keyword can cover multiple customer search terms.

Difference between Search Terms & Keyword:

Search terms: These are what customer type for searching a product.
Keywords: These are words that you use in your listing content or for advertisement purpose.

Types of keyword:

There are 2 type of keywords:

  • Short tail Keywords (containing one or two words)
  • Long Tail Keywords (containing three or more words)

  2. Copy the ASIN of that particular product and paste it in JS keyword scout.
  3. The JS Keyword scout will pull out all the keywords against that ASIN which there are searches relevant to that particular product.
  4. Then download the CSV file from JS file and it will convert all the data into excel file.
  5. Now short list a few most relevant keywords that have comparatively high searches but low giveaways or competition other than the most searched keyword as it will require a lot of budget if we target the heavy keyword.
  6. Now select a keyword that contains the main keyword but it is not competitive like diaper bags if we are looking for bag pack then our main keyword is diaper bags against which there is high competition so we can go for “convertable diaper bags ” from the short listed keywords, as it contains the main keyword but might have lower competition to rank the product.
