This week, Amazon Canada announced updates and improvements to their FBA policies, along with the opening of four new fulfillment centres.
The changes include relaxing of ASIN-level restock quantity limits to cover 2 months of sales along with free inventory removals.

| Hello, Thank you for your help as we strived to ensure that all sellers had space for their products during the record-breaking holiday season. With growth expected to continue in 2021, we’re investing in more capacity to deliver the products that customers need while helping you to grow your business. Four new fulfilment centres are on track to open in Canada this year, bringing the total to 17 and increasing network storage by over 6 million cubic feet compared to last year’s holiday season. In addition, we’ve already reduced our own retail product ordering to accommodate more of your products. With these efforts in mind, we are also making the following changes to best serve both sellers and customers: Inventory storage capacity As of March 4, 2021, sellers who have sold through FBA for at least nine months are subject to inventory storage limits. Limits are based on performance and are updated periodically. You can view your current limit and storage utilization in your Shipping Queue. For more information, go to Inventory storage limits. To maximize selection for customers, we are also relaxing ASIN-level restock quantity limits. Most products will have enough space to cover about two months of sales. View quantity limits for your products on Restock Inventory and in your Restock report. Free inventory removals To help you avoid storage fees for slow-selling products and create room for more productive inventory, we’re offering free removals starting March 9, 2021, for a limited time. You’ll be notified three business days before the promotion ends. During the promotion, we’ll waive fees for any removal order that is submitted for inventory in our Canada fulfilment centres. Inventory that is older than 15 months will be automatically removed for a fee after the promotion ends. To check your inventory and create a removal order, go to FBA Inventory Ageand select Create removal order from the menu next to any ASIN in your inventory.
