What does 2D barcodes required for your ASINs alert mean?

If you are a third party seller on Amazon’s platform, you must have received an alert titled ”2D barcodes required for your ASINs” at some point.

This warning indicates, that the affected products have been enrolled in the Transparency counterfeit prevention service by the brand owner. This means that a Transparency label with a 2D barcode will be applied on all units of the product at the time of manufacturing.

Beginning from a specific date stated in the notification, these products must have a Transparency label in order to be listed on Amazon.es and dispatched to Amazon customers. You are responsible for ensuring that a Transparency label is on each of these products before directly dispatching them to customers.

After that date, if you fulfill customer orders for Transparency-enabled products, you must upload Transparency codes for these products using tools in Seller Central.
