Recently, Amazon completely reformed their approach to appealing most Seller Account suspensions, in a clear attempt to try and keep as many marketplace sellers as possible, since the competition is growing and they don’t want to risk losing their selection of products.
Instead of getting locked out of their accounts or having to prepare a detailed Plan of Action, sellers are asked to take a short online quiz, which is easy enough to be passed by a 6 years old kid.
Finally, sellers won’t need to spend thousands of dollars on hiring various Amazon experts.
Here is the text of the Policy Warning Notice, which the affected seller received – this was then followed by a pre-suspension phone call and a request to appeal the violation by 72 hours, otherwise their Seller Account will get deactivated:
Notice: Account policy warning Hello, We are notifying you that attempting to damage or abuse another seller, their listings, or their ratings is a policy violation that negatively impacts your account health. If left unaddressed, this may lead to account deactivation. Why did this happen? All sellers on Amazon are expected to follow the Amazon Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct. As part of the code of conduct, sellers should not attempt to damage or abuse another seller, their listings, or their ratings. This includes, but is not limited to, placing fake orders to hold a competitor’s inventory. Please review Amazon’s policy regarding attempting to damage or abuse another seller, their listings, or their ratings (https:// sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/G1801). How do I address this issue? Please view the policy warnings on your Account Health page (https:// sellercentral.amazon.com/performance/account/health/policy-warnings) and follow the guidance in the “Next Steps” column next to the policy warning. What happens if I do not follow the instructions on the Account Health page? If we do not receive the requested information, the policy warning will remain on your account for 180 days following the date on which it was posted to your account. Has this message been sent in error? If you believe there has been an error, please submit an explanation by following the guidance in the “Next Steps” column next to the policy warning on your Account Health page. Following a phone call with an Account Health Team representative, a button appeared on the Account Health Dashboard, demanding the seller to appeal the alleged violation by taking a quiz.

Shortly after completing the quiz, the entire violation and “At Risk” status disappeared from the affected seller’s Seller Account.
