Starting 20.September, Amazon France will be giving away your FBA inventory to charities

[whohit]Starting 20.September, Amazon France will be giving away your FBA inventory to charities[/whohit]Getting their unsellable FBA inventory returned back is a real nightmare for many third party Amazon sellers who are doing business across the company’s international marketplaces.

This is because of it’s strict policies that require unsellable inventory to be removed within 30 days and at the same time prohibit the return of these units to addresses in different countries.

International sellers who don’t have a warehouse or a return address in each Amazon marketplace country are then often forcibly having their products “destroyed”, therefore retained by Amazon and sold under their “Warehouse Deals” store. This effectively means that you are paying for Amazon to obtain your merchandise for free, only to resell it by competing against you on the same ASIN.

Sellers with unsellable customer returns aren’t the only ones affected, as inventory can get “Stranded“ following a listing block or account deactivation as well.

Starting 20.September 2020, all Amazon France sellers will be automatically enrolled into a new programme which will mean that “eligible” unsellable FBA items will be given away to charities.

It is only a matter of time before they announce the feature’s enrollment across other international Amazon sites.
