New Product dimension attributes required when you create ASINs starting 26.September 2022

Recently, Amazon announced that sellers will be required to enter new dimension attributes when creating or updating ASINs through the Manage Inventory and Bulk listing templates for any of the 75 product types listed below:

The new attribute definitions are specific to product types. For example, CHAIR_MAT has two attributes: length (longer edge) and width (shorter edge). These attributes refer to the dimensions of the product in the manner it would be used. Dimensions of accessories or packages (for example, the case for a MASSAGER) are not to be used while adding information in these attributes.

Amazon also reduced the acceptable values for units of measurement. In the US, dimensions are given in inches only. In all other stores, dimensions are given in centimeters (with a few exceptions). Values must be numeric and greater than zero.
