Don’t get fooled by Account Health Rating

Last year, Amazon introduced the mysterious “Account Health Rating” and since then, most sellers are seeing their Seller Accounts with a yellow “At Risk” warning.

If you are a low volume seller with less than 200 sales over the period of 60 days, even a single policy violation will cause your Account Health Rating to change into “At Risk”.

Then there are sellers with numerous warnings, whose Account Health Dashboard remains green:

Amazon is actively encouraging sellers to appeal every warning, however the truth is that appealing can cause you more damage than help.

Unless you are 100% sure about being able to lift the specific warning, don’t appeal it.

According to my experience gained after assisting hundreds of sellers through OnlyFans, appealing a warning in attempt to have it removed is basically poking a sleeping bear – Amazon Seller Performance.

Let’s say you have an Intellectual Property Rights Infringement Complaint – without invoices, retraction notice or authorization from the rights owner. If you appeal the complaint by saying that you deleted the listing, Amazon will still reject your appeal, however there will already be a case on file regarding the matter in your Seller Account and Amazon may suspend you a week later over the listing which you failed to appeal.

My advice for you is to delete the listings with complaints and wait for the defects to automatically disappear after 180 days.

Additionally, the Account Health Rating doesn’t mean anything, because even sellers whose status is “Good” often get suspended.
