Common OTP Amazon code issues and how to address them

For several years, Amazon has been requiring OTP codes as a mandatory verification measure for all Seller Accounts. However, there are cases when OTP codes are not arriving and I will be briefly addressing them in this article.

Some newly registered Amazon Seller Accounts may not be asked for verification codes within their first few months of existence. However, there may be a few reasons why you didn’t receive one:

Contact information: Amazon may not have your correct contact information, such as your mobile phone number or email address, to send the OTP to. Make sure you’ve entered the correct information in your account settings.

Email filtering: Check your email spam or junk folder to see if the OTP email was filtered there.

Phone number verification: If you’re trying to sign up for a new Amazon account with a mobile phone number, Amazon may require you to verify your phone number before sending the OTP. Make sure you’ve completed the phone verification process.

Technical issues: There may be technical issues on Amazon’s end preventing the OTP from being sent. In this case, you can try contacting Amazon’s customer support for assistance.

It’s also worth noting that not all online services require OTP verification for new accounts. Amazon may have other security measures in place, such as password requirements and account verification processes, to protect user accounts.
