Amazon’s Warehouse Distribution Network (AWD) launches

Maybe you already heard about Amazon’s plans to launch a new service called Amazon’s Warehouse Distribution Network.

If you are wondering how does AWD work, this article will answer your questions.

① Amazon monitors the SKU inventory levels of each seller in the FBA warehouse.

② Amazon triggers an automatic replenishment when total supply (both on hand and on the move)falls below optimal levels.

③ Amazon automatically creates replenishment from AWD warehouse to FBA warehouse, and these goods are transported by Amazon Logistics.

How does AWD track inventory?

① Sellers can see the distribution center’s inventory on the Global Inventory Browser (GIV).

② When automatic replenishment is triggered, the seller can track the goods on the GIV and the shipping queue on the seller center.

③ If you need to lift the restrictions on automatic restocking, Amazon will notify you via email and you can do so on GIV.

④ You can also provide your feedback on replenishment on GIV, so that Amazon can know your work situation.

⑤ After receiving automatic replenishment in the Amazon FBA warehouse *, you will be able to see the inventory on the “Manage your FBA Inventory” page in the Seller Center.

* Currently, it takes less than 7 business days for your inventory to move from an AWD center to the Amazon delivery network.

How is it different from regular FBA?

The seller only pays for the space you use. With the automatic replenishment of inventory to the FBA warehouse, sellers can now direct their energies towards growing their business and perfecting their product offerings.

What are the benefits of the AWD program?

① Automatic FBA replenishment.

② Visibility of aggregate inventory.

③ Amazon Integrated Shipping.

④ If your product is out of stock in the Prime-ready fulfillment Center, it can still be searched and purchased as long as there is enough stock of that product in Amazon’s upstream warehouse.

⑤ Upstream bulk storage.

⑥ Simple, transparent, pay-as-you-use pricing.
