As you know Amazon’s seller code of conduct is very strict. Even if you did not intentionally violate the policy, if Amazon find or suspects you violating rules, it may have some adverse effects on your business. Depending on the violation, you may be restricted from selling on categories that you used to be approved for, suspend your seller account temporarily and ask for documents or Plan of Action to get your account reinstated, or even permanently suspend you from accessing the platform.
It’s not surprise that every day, thousands of honest third-party sellers are suspended, rejected or banned from Amazon Selling Platform.
What are differences between Suspensions, being denied or permanently banned?
- Suspension means that you still have the opportunity to appeal, but you need to provide required documents, develop an action plan or both.
- Denied means that your appeal was dismissed, yet you often get an opportunity to present revised plan of action.
- Banned, the worst scenario of the three. Basically, you have no chance to appeal usual way. Your appeals were denied more than once, and at this point Amazon will not read and reply to your further appeals.
Amazon Selling Privileges are removed usually for these reasons:
- You have violated Amazon’s policies
- You have been selling a restricted product
- Your Seller Account Performance is taking a dive
When your Amazon Seller Account get’s suspended, Amazon sends you email with the suspension reason to the main email address on which you have it registered. Also, if you can login to your Seller Account after suspension, you should find suspension reason in Seller Central > Performance > Performance Notifications. Or in Account Health section of Seller Central.
How to Appeal Against Your Suspension?
- Carefully read the suspension notice to distinguish which rule of Amazon’s Policies and Agreements page they accusing you of and cautiously check your Seller Central Performance Metrics.
