Amazon now temporarily restricts Seller Accounts with too many FBM orders

If you were ever worried that Amazon may punish you for having too many unshipped orders in your Seller Account waiting to be fulfilled, despite they are all within their Handling Time, it looks like everyone’s nightmare is now becoming a reality.

Recently, third party Amazon sellers doing business on the Indian marketplace discovered their Seller Accounts deactivated for no reason at all, other than having over 300 unshipped orders.

These orders were placed within a short period of time and still under their promised Handling Time.

Affected accounts are displaying the status of their listings as “Under review”, with all listings being unavailable for sale:

And here is the infamous explanation provided by Amazon:

It is only a matter of time, before this “amazing” policy reaches the European and North American Amazon marketplaces.

Sellers can expect to find their accounts affected, unless they process any unshipped orders immediately after receiving them.
