This week, Amazon announced a lavish in-person event called Amazon Accelerate aimed at its third party sellers, which will be taking place in Seattle in September 2022. The event will include networking, luxurious buffet dining, prominent keynote speakers, promotional stands from companies offering commercial services, just like chatting with representatives responsible for Account Health and Seller Performance enforcements. Sounds familiar? Anyone who attended ASGTG events organized by Ed Rosenberg can clearly tell, after reviewing the program and its terms, who inspired Amazon to create this event with a $499 per person price tag.
This will be the first time in the history, when ordinary Amazon merchants will have the opportunity to directly meet with the most senior Amazon personnel and wine and dine and party with them under the same roof. The event will consist of a pre-event party and the main event.
However, it is really interesting, that such a secretive, unreachable and hostile company as Amazon, which ruined so many people’s livelihoods would be letting their staff meet with sellers and taking the risk that an angry suspended seller could slip in and cause problems.
Despite having two high profile litigations against Amazon, I have been invited to attend this event as well. Unfortunately, I will not entertain the invitation, until Amazon doesn’t restore my standing in its community and honestly apologize.
