Recently, Amazon started displaying new descriptive wording next to customer orders on the Manage Orders page. Orders which are past the first day of Expected Dispatch Date are getting marked as Verge of Late Shipment. Already late orders past the Expected Dispatch Date are shown as Verge of Cancellation.
This is clearly in a testing phase, because the wording can be found only on selected Amazon marketplaces.
While orders in Verge of Cancellation will already attract Late Shipment defects. Verge of Late Shipment orders are basically any regular orders which were not shipped within 24 hours of being in unshipped status.
