As you know, Amazon may suspend your Seller Account or block your listings anytime, without any prior complaints or justification, solely due to a suspected sale of counterfeit items.
Once this happens, unless you are able to provide the company invoices meeting all their requirements, your listings will remain blocked, including any FBA inventory in Amazon’s warehouses.
Amazon will reject any invoices which don’t contain all of the following information:
— Supplier information (name, phone number, address, website)
– Buyer information (name, phone number, address, website)
– Item descriptions
– Item quantities
– Invoice date (must be issued in the last 365 days)
So effectively, if you purchased the merchandise from a retailer who doesn’t provide invoices or your goods were purchased more than 365 days ago, you are doomed and Amazon will be satisfied that you were selling counterfeits.
The company now introduced a new policy, which will enable them to lawfully destroy all your affected FBA inventory, in cases when you don’t manage to successfully appeal the prior enforcement.

Unsuitable inventory investigations policy added Starting March 19, 2021, we are adding the unsuitable inventory investigations policy to our program policies. Under the new policy, if we suspect that you may have been engaged in the sale of counterfeit products or other illegal goods, we may require additional information about the affected Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) inventory. If you do not provide the requested information, or we investigate and find that the inventory constitutes unsuitable units, we may dispose of it.
