Amazon Currency Converter for Sellers lowers its fees to 1.5%

Amazon’s official payment solution, Amazon Currency Converter for Sellers, has announced lowering of its fees to 1.5% for 20 currencies and 9 international Amazon marketplaces.

The list of marketplaces includes US/CA/MX/UK/DE/IT/FR/ES/NL.

Amazon Currency Converter for Sellers is an optional service that allows sellers to receive their global Amazon disbursements directly into their home country bank accounts.

Many sellers are using external payment providers such as Payoneer to disburse so they can avoid losing money as a result of currency conversion.

The move is apparently an attempt to make sellers reconsider their decision and use their actual bank account details.

According to the announcement, there are multiple tiers depending on each account’s selling volume, which determine how high will be your discount.
