Amazon will now allow you to set maximum Order Capacity

According to several recent announcements in the Seller Central and in a form of e-mails, Amazon has implemented a new feature, enabling sellers to cap their maximum daily amount of orders.

Once the limit is exceeded, Amazon will automatically increase your Handling Time to cover a potential order processing delay according to your settings.

Apparently, this is Amazon’s reaction to their earlier enrollment of a same day Handling Time, which didn’t attract as many participating sellers as expected, fearing of failing to meet the “ship by” date.

A Handling Time of 1 or 2 days is still something that many regular sellers who process orders themselves without employees may have a difficulty with, because they tipically process and package orders once a week.
