As you know, the US INFORM Consumers Act, which affects Amazon sellers will come into effect on June 27, 2023. In preparation for the enforcement of this law, Amazon has been actively reaching out to sellers who fall under its jurisdiction. Amazon’s legal requirement is to request necessary business information and conduct additional verification checks to ensure compliance with the INFORM Consumers Act.
To check if you have any pending verification requests, I would recommend you to review your Account Health dashboard. If any information is required, you will find detailed instructions on how to proceed. Additionally, you should receive email notifications if any further action is necessary.
To avoid any disruptions to your account, it is essential that you provide the requested information by 7.July 2023. Failure to comply may result in the temporary hold of disbursements for your Amazon selling account, starting from that date.
Once your information has been fully verified, you will notice that the “Account deactivation warning” banner associated with the INFORM Consumers Act will be removed from your Account Health page.
It is important to note that if you make any changes to your verified information, Amazon may need to reverify it. In such cases, they will promptly notify you if any additional information is required. Furthermore, be aware that they are legally obligated to request confirmation that your Selling on Amazon account information is up to date at least once a year.
